The Illinois Rock & Roll Museum on Route 66 is set to celebrate its 2024 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Sunday, October 20th, at the Rialto Square Theatre in Joliet. The 4th annual event will honor a diverse array of talent with deep ties to Illinois, showcasing the state's rich contribution to music and entertainment.

“This year’s Class of ‘24 highlights our commitment to honoring all genres of music and the exceptional talent rooted in Illinois,” said Ron Romero, CEO and Chairman of the museum.

Inductees in the Artist/Performer category include Richard Marx, The Smashing Pumpkins, Howlin’ Wolf, Little Walter, and Bo Diddley, who will be introduced by George Thorogood. Vee-Jay Records will be honored in the Record Label category, and classic rock radio personality Bob Stroud will be inducted for his on-air work. The legendary Big 10 WCFL radio station will also enter the Hall of Fame, along with performance venue Metro Chicago. Marshall Thompson and The Original Chi-Lites will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Country artist Suzy Bogguss is this year's Founder’s Choice Award recipient, introduced by WGN Radio’s Steve King and Johnnie Putman. Songwriters Willie Dixon and Steve Goodman will also be inducted, with Bonnie Koloc performing Goodman’s songs. Ron Coomer, the Chicago Cubs' radio voice, will join the stage for Goodman’s “Go Cubs, Go!” and accept the award on his behalf.

WGN Radio’s Bob Sirott will return as Master of Ceremonies. Additional performances and special appearances from Illinois artists are expected to be announced soon.

Tickets are available at $65, $55, and $45 and can be purchased on the museum's website, at RialtoSquare.com, or through TicketMaster.
