A weak weather disturbance is moving through Southern California this weekend, keeping temperatures slightly below average, according to the National Weather Service. A deep marine layer, reaching up to 4000 feet, will maintain cool conditions along the coast and valleys today.

A stronger system is expected to arrive Sunday night into Monday, bringing gusty winds and unseasonably cool air. Light precipitation is forecast for Monday, primarily west of the mountains, with wind gusts reaching 40 to 60 mph in wind-prone areas.

Temperatures will start to warm slightly on Tuesday, but another cool weather disturbance is expected by midweek, bringing more rain and gusty winds before conditions improve by Friday.
