The National Weather Service has forecast that rain showers will gradually taper off across the Bay Area by this evening, with cooler-than-usual temperatures lingering through the week. After isolated showers shift southward, coastal areas may still experience some drizzle overnight as moisture continues to hang over the region.

Tuesday will remain cool, with temperatures 5-15 degrees below normal, ranging from the upper 40s in interior regions to the mid-50s elsewhere. Aside from morning drizzle along the coast, skies are expected to partially clear by the afternoon, though temperatures will stay below seasonal averages until late in the week. Another weak system could bring additional light rain by Wednesday, with gradual warming forecast into the weekend.
