The National Weather Service predicts cooler-than-average temperatures for the Phoenix area over the next few days, as a low-pressure system moves through the region. Breezy conditions are expected Thursday and Friday, with winds gusting between 20-30 mph in most areas, and up to 40 mph in parts of Imperial County, California.

While some light showers are possible in higher terrain areas on Friday, most of southern Arizona and southeastern California will remain dry. Temperatures will begin warming up by Sunday, with highs returning to or above 100°F next week. Despite the warmer afternoons, mornings will stay cooler and more seasonal.
