Southern California is experiencing dry and warmer conditions today, with temperatures in inland areas ranging 4 to 8 degrees above average. The National Weather Service reports that high temperatures will reach the 90s in the valleys and soar between 102-108 degrees in the lower deserts. Coastal areas will remain closer to average, with a lingering marine layer and slower clearing at the beaches.

While Tuesday’s forecast remains similar, a weak low-pressure system off the coast could bring a slight cooldown by midweek. Wednesday and Thursday may see temperatures dip by a few degrees, followed by a potential warm-up on Friday. Heading into the weekend, the forecast remains uncertain as models predict the possible return of the low-pressure system, which could bring more cooling to the region.

Residents can expect night and morning coastal low clouds to continue spreading inland over the next few days.
