The California Association of REALTORS (C.A.R.) has commended Governor Gavin Newsom for signing AB 2992, a bill aimed at strengthening consumer protections in California's real estate market. Sponsored by C.A.R. and authored by Assemblymember Nguyen, the new law mandates buyer broker representation agreements, offering homebuyers more clarity and choice in their real estate transactions.

C.A.R. President Melanie Barker praised the legislation, stating, "By mandating these agreements, consumers will have a better understanding of the services they are receiving from their REALTOR® during what can be a complex process."
