Hanford, CA – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Hanford has forecasted continued dry conditions and above-average temperatures for Central California in the coming days, with a potential return of triple-digit heat early next week.

Today, temperatures will remain warm but slightly cooler than Wednesday, with highs expected in the lower 90s across the Central Valley and mid-90s in the Kern County desert. Despite the slight dip, a warming trend is anticipated to return Friday and Saturday as high pressure strengthens over the region.

Kern County’s desert could see triple-digit temperatures over the weekend, with a nonzero chance that some areas in the San Joaquin Valley might also experience highs above 100°F. By early next week, there is a 20-40% chance of triple-digit heat returning to the Central Valley.

Low afternoon humidity and poor to moderate overnight recoveries will persist, especially in the mountains and desert areas. Winds will remain light through the middle of next week, as the dry weather pattern continues.
