Alaska Airlines is expanding its presence in Northern California with a new nonstop route between Sonoma County and Las Vegas, set to begin on October 1. This daily, year-round flight will be the seventh nonstop destination from Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport (STS), where Alaska has been the largest carrier since 2007. The airline already offers nonstop service to Los Angeles, Burbank, Orange County, Seattle, Portland, and San Diego from STS.

Kirsten Amrine, vice president of network planning at Alaska Airlines, highlighted the airline's long-standing connection to Santa Rosa and its commitment to serving all four Bay Area airports. The new route will be operated with an Embraer 175 jet, featuring no middle seats and a three-class cabin. Additionally, Alaska's popular Wine Flies Free program, which allows Mileage Plan members to check a case of wine for free, will remain a perk for travelers flying from Sonoma County.

The addition of Las Vegas brings new travel opportunities for residents of Northern California’s wine country, who can now easily explore one of the most popular destinations in the U.S.
