Big Lots is set to close nearly 50 more stores across fewer than half as many states, adding to the growing list of locations shutting down as part of the retailer’s ongoing Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Since filing for bankruptcy protection earlier this month, Big Lots has identified over 340 stores for closure, with more than 30 already removed from its website as of September 29.

In California, the closures will affect several locations, including stores in Alhambra, Arcadia, Bellflower, Inglewood, and La Verne. This move comes as Big Lots confirmed plans to close approximately 250 stores by mid-January, on top of nearly 300 that have already closed or are slated for closure.
