Overnight Closure Planned for Eastbound California Interstate 8 in East County Thursday

Caltrans announced that a portion of eastbound Interstate 8 in East County will be closed Thursday night as crews install a new sign structure. The closure will begin at 10 p.m. west of Jackson Drive and stretch to just east of State Route 125, ending at 6 a.m. Friday.

Drivers traveling eastbound on I-8 will be detoured via northbound SR-125, then eastbound on State Route 52, southbound on State Route 67, and finally back to I-8. Caltrans will post signs along the route to guide drivers through the detour.

The schedule may change based on weather, traffic incidents, or other unforeseen factors.
