Frontier Airlines Adds 22 New Routes in December, Expands Winter Service Across U.S.

Frontier Airlines has announced a significant expansion, introducing nearly two dozen new routes set to launch in mid-December. The Denver-based low-cost carrier is focusing its growth in key markets, including new flights between New England and Florida, while bolstering its presence in cities like Chicago, Houston, Cleveland, and Cincinnati.

One of the highlights of Frontier's expansion is the introduction of new routes to Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), near Vail, Colorado, just in time for the holiday season. The carrier will offer three new routes to EGE from major U.S. cities, making it easier for travelers to access one of Colorado’s most popular skiing destinations.

In total, Frontier is launching 22 new routes between December 17 and December 20, some of which were previously served by the airline within the past decade, while others are entirely new additions. Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) will each see four new routes, highlighting the airline’s rapid growth at these locations. Frontier’s seat capacity from O’Hare is expected to increase by 125% over 2023, while the airline will operate more than 4,300 flights from LAX this year, after not serving the airport at all in 2023.

Another noteworthy development is the return of Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) to Frontier's route map. For the first time since 2021, Frontier will offer flights from PSP to Denver and San Francisco, further expanding its California presence.
