Delta Air Lines to Launch Largest-Ever Summer Schedule from Atlanta, Georgia Hub in 2025

In a significant expansion, Delta Air Lines has announced plans to introduce its largest-ever summer schedule from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in 2025. This ambitious schedule will feature 1.1 million weekly seats, 968 daily flights, and service to 215 destinations, marking a notable increase of nearly 75 additional daily departures compared to summer 2024.

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens expressed enthusiasm for Delta's expansion, highlighting the airline's vital role in the city's economic landscape. “As our hometown airline and the state’s largest private employer, Delta plays an integral role in our economy through workforce opportunities, community investments, and meaningful partnerships,” he stated.

Delta’s international network from Atlanta will continue to flourish, now including 66 destinations worldwide. New service to Naples and Brussels, along with increased flights to Rome, Zurich, and Barcelona, reinforces Delta’s commitment to global connectivity.

Domestically, the airline is enhancing its flight offerings across the U.S., particularly within Georgia, where it will provide 20% more intra-state seats to cities like Savannah and Columbus. Delta's focus on passenger comfort is evident, with 41,000 daily premium seats and 87% of departures operated on mainline aircraft.

This expansion is part of Delta's ongoing investment in the airport, contributing to Hartsfield-Jackson's $10.8 billion redevelopment program. Delta plans to open a new, larger Sky Club and enhance customer experiences through innovations like the Delta Digital ID, allowing for smoother travel through security and bag drop.
