According to a recent list compiled by Terminix, California cities are facing a significant rodent problem, with San Francisco and Los Angeles ranking as the second and third most rodent-infested cities in the entire United States. Palm Springs, San Diego, Fresno, and Monterey also made the list, highlighting the widespread issue across the state.

San Francisco and Los Angeles were only outdone by New York, which claimed the top spot. The list also included major urban centers like Philadelphia and Washington D.C., rounding out the top five.

Terminix explained that the cities with the highest number of rodents tend to have poor sanitation practices, easy access to food waste, and suitable habitats for rats and mice. These pests not only cause significant property damage but also pose a serious public health concern, making their management crucial in densely populated areas.
