The National Weather Service in Hanford, CA, has released an area forecast discussion detailing the weather conditions for the upcoming week.

Currently, a trough moving in from the north is bringing cooler temperatures to the region. However, a rex block is expected to strengthen, leading to slightly warmer temperatures in the Valley by Wednesday, with a 35 to 65 percent probability of high temperatures reaching at least 85 degrees.

Later in the week, the rex block will dissipate, allowing a new trough to approach the Pacific Northwest. This system is projected to bring cooler temperatures on Thursday and Friday, with a 25 to 45 percent chance of high temperatures exceeding 80 degrees. Winds may pick up in eastern Kern County, but rainfall is unlikely, with less than a 20 percent chance of any accumulating rain.
