Georgia-born Zaxby's, Famous for Chicken Fingerz Wings, Set to Open First Locations in Maryland

Zaxby's™, the rapidly expanding Georgia-based quick-service restaurant franchise known for its Chicken Fingerz™, wings, and signature sauces, is making its debut in Maryland. Franchise co-owners Curtis and Teresa Snyder, along with Teresa's father, Thomas Mitchell, have signed an agreement to open three locations on Maryland's Eastern Shore. The first Zaxby's is slated to open in Cambridge in late 2025, followed by additional locations in Easton and West Ocean City/Berlin.

Curtis Snyder, a local attorney and real estate developer, expressed enthusiasm for introducing Zaxby's to the area. "We've always wanted to bring something special to the Eastern Shore, and Zaxby's is the perfect fit. The quality of the product, combined with the brand's growth strategy, convinced us this was the right move," he said. Snyder believes Maryland residents and travelers from Baltimore and D.C. will embrace the new dining option.

The first Maryland location will feature a modern farmhouse design and will be situated near Walmart in Cambridge. Future plans include a site near a new hospital in Easton and another in the West Ocean City/Berlin area. The Snyder-Mitchell family aims to serve both locals and travelers along Route 50 and has ambitions for further expansion into Maryland, including potential locations in Salisbury.
