Storied Pacific Northwest Chain Taco Time Named Best Fast Food in Washington State

Washington State is celebrated for its diverse culinary offerings, from delectable oysters to exquisite wines. However, when it comes to fast food, locals have a favorite: Taco Time. Known for its crispy rolled tacos, or flautas, and golden-brown tater tots, this beloved chain restaurant has carved out a niche in the state's vibrant food scene.

While Taco Time originated in Oregon, its Northwest branch has thrived, boasting over 70 locations primarily west of the Cascades. The restaurant emphasizes fresh, locally sourced ingredients, including pinto beans grown right in Washington. Their house-made hot sauce, notable for its tangy vinegar flavor rather than heat, has become a signature accompaniment.

In addition to its signature rolled tacos, Taco Time's Mexi-Fries—a local name for their popular tater tots—are often enjoyed with the house ranch dressing, available free of charge. Despite some locations needing a facelift, the consistent quality of their offerings has made Taco Time a staple in Washington's fast food landscape.

I had to check. Nope, it isn't April 1st. They must have just polled high and/or homeless people.
