California Highway set to be closed at night for major sea-level rise construction project

Marin County, CA – Caltrans Bay Area-District 4 has announced nighttime closures for Eastbound State Route 37 at the Novato Creek Bridge starting tonight, October 14. The closures will take place nightly from 10 PM to 10 AM for crucial drilling work related to a project aimed at reducing flooding and adapting to sea-level rise by the year 2130.

The full closure will be in effect from October 14-17, with one lane remaining open for traffic during this period. However, if additional drilling is required, the closures may extend from October 21-24.

Detour Information: Motorists are advised to take the US-101 off-ramp at Atherton Avenue, turn right, and follow the detour to re-enter SR-37 at Black Point.

Caltrans encourages all drivers to exercise caution during this time. "Please slow down for the Cone Zone and stay alert," a Caltrans spokesperson stated. "Thank you for your patience as we work to improve our highways."

Mis information to the max. it has nothing to do with sea rise. It has to do with the highway was built in a marsh with landfill and the highway is sinking into the goo. I have traveled 37 for over 50 years and have seen the road repairs over the years. Not due to any climate change BS
