Seattle, WA – Western Washington is in for a shift in weather this week as a series of systems move through the region. Light rain showers began Monday and are expected to continue into Tuesday morning, with most of the rain concentrated along the west Olympics and the coastline. Temperatures will drop behind the front, with highs around 60°F.

A stronger cold front is expected Wednesday, bringing cooler air, potential thunderstorms, and snow at higher elevations, especially above 4,000 feet. By the weekend, a brief warm-up and heavier rain are possible.

Temperatures are expected to drop, with highs only reaching around 60°F on Tuesday and mid-50s by Thursday. The rain will intensify Wednesday and Thursday, especially in the Cascades and Olympic Mountains, where snow could accumulate.
