Delta Air Lines debuts new, modern plane interiors ahead of company's centennial anniversary

Delta Air Lines is set to elevate the customer experience with the debut of its modern cabin interior, launching on a narrowbody Boeing 757 this fall. This redesign marks a significant milestone ahead of Delta’s centennial anniversary and promises substantial enhancements across its fleet.

The new interior features fresh seating materials, improved lighting, and a contemporary color palette, all aimed at creating a welcoming atmosphere for travelers. "Delta has a 100-year history of creating a customer experience that feels welcoming and thoughtful," said Mauricio Parise, Vice President of Customer Experience Design. "As we embark on our next century of flying, this refreshed cabin infuses utility with beauty."

Key improvements include comfortable memory-foam cushions, mood lighting designed to promote relaxation, and a cohesive, calming onboard environment. The new design will incorporate a softer, warmer color palette with natural materials, enhancing the overall aesthetic and brand identity of Delta.

The cabin transformation is based on extensive customer feedback, ensuring that it reflects evolving expectations. The first aircraft featuring the new design will begin domestic and short-haul international flights this fall, followed by a widebody Airbus A350 in early 2025.
