The National Weather Service has forecasted significantly cooler temperatures for Arizona heading into the weekend, as a strong low-pressure system moves across the region. By Friday and Saturday, residents can expect well below normal temperatures, with highs in the mid-70s to low 80s across the lower deserts, including Phoenix.

A cold front will bring enhanced breezy conditions, with wind gusts of 25-35 mph, and a chance of rain and isolated thunderstorms in south-central Arizona. Overnight lows will dip into the 50s, marking a notable shift from the recent mid-90s highs.

Along with the cooler weather, gusty winds of 25-35 mph are expected, and parts of south-central Arizona may experience showers and isolated thunderstorms. The coolest mornings will be Saturday and Sunday, with brisk conditions across the desert areas.
