ALBUQUERQUE — Central New Mexico Community College (CNM), in collaboration with New Mexico Wine, has launched the inaugural Viva Vino Red Winemaking Bootcamp. This immersive two-week program is designed to enhance workforce development within New Mexico's wine industry.

According to Victoria Martinez, CNM's Associate Dean of the School of Business, Hospitality & Technology, the bootcamp aims to be accessible to a diverse range of participants, including those currently employed in the wine sector.

Led by expert wine consultant Tim Donahue, the bootcamp is New Mexico's first comprehensive program focusing on all facets of red wine production. Over the course of 40 hours each week, participants will delve into essential topics such as winery safety, grape selection, and the intricacies of tannin and acid management. They will also gain practical experience in CNM's state-of-the-art beverage production facilities.
