Dry, Windy Conditions Expected Across Inland Southern California

Southern California is bracing for dry and windy weather today, with inland areas including the Inland Empire, San Bernardino Mountains, Coachella Valley, and Santa Ana Mountains seeing the strongest winds. Peak gusts are expected to reach 45 to 55 mph, raising concerns for critical fire weather conditions, particularly in the San Bernardino County mountains.

While winds will begin to weaken this afternoon, another brief period of gusty winds is forecast for tonight into early Saturday morning. Temperatures are expected to warm 5 to 10 degrees for inland valleys, with cooler conditions in the deserts. Continued warming is expected through the weekend, with weaker winds heading into next week.
