Cooling Begins Along Southern California Coast as Warmer Weather Returns Midweek

Southern California's coastal areas and valleys will see cooler temperatures over the next two days as offshore winds weaken, while the interior regions will continue to warm. Highs today will range from the upper 70s to low 80s along the coast and valleys, with interior areas warming into the mid-80s.

Low clouds and fog are expected to return to the Central Coast and some southern coastal areas tonight, lingering through the week. By Tuesday, a high-pressure system will build, bringing 3 to 6 degrees of warming, with valley temperatures potentially reaching the low 90s by midweek. Coastal regions will remain slightly cooler, with highs in the 70s.
