The National Weather Service in Hanford is warning of elevated fire weather conditions across the Sierra Nevada and West Side Hills through Sunday and Monday due to low humidity and poor overnight recovery. While winds will be lighter, temperatures are expected to stay above normal, with a 25-60% chance of exceeding 85 degrees in the region.

This pattern of warm, dry weather will continue into midweek as a weak ridge builds over California. The elevated fire risk remains a concern, especially with low relative humidity.

A shift in the weather is expected by Friday, with a cooling trend bringing temperatures closer to seasonal norms as an upper low tracks across Northern California.
