    The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released its winter outlook, offering insights into what the upcoming season may bring. Forecasters predict warmer and drier conditions across the Gulf Coast, while wetter-than-average weather is expected in the Great Lakes region and from the Pacific Northwest to parts of the northern Rockies.

    Notably, states like Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky are anticipated to see the strongest likelihood of increased precipitation, According to NOAA's Climate Prediction Center. In contrast, areas bordering the Gulf of Mexico, including Texas and southern New Mexico, may experience drier conditions.

    Regions such as California, the central Plains, and the I-95 corridor from Boston to Washington, D.C., face equal chances of experiencing below-average, near-average, or above-average precipitation levels this winter.
