SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. — St. Francis Electric is making significant strides in the South Lake Tahoe Safety Project, aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety along Lake Tahoe Boulevard. The project includes the installation of over 200 streetlights across a 5-mile stretch, a new traffic signal, and four pedestrian hybrid beacons. Additionally, crews are laying 47,000 feet of underground conduit to improve communication systems and create safer routes for pedestrians and cyclists.

Despite challenges like maintaining traffic flow during peak tourist seasons and ensuring environmental protection, the project is moving forward. Locals have expressed their appreciation for the improvements, which are expected to provide long-term safety benefits to the community.
