SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — The future of the former Westfield San Francisco Centre, now known as Emporium Centre, will be determined at an auction next month as the receivership process nears completion.

The property, previously owned by Brookfield Properties and Westfield, faced significant challenges in 2023 after the companies walked away from their debt obligations amid a struggling retail market. This decision followed the departure of anchor tenant Nordstrom, which occupied nearly half the mall’s space. Additional closures, including Century Cinema and other retailers, further impacted the mall's viability.

The auction will determine the fate of the iconic downtown shopping center.

San Francisco needs a new mayor. London Breed is paid $357,000.00 annually not including additional benefits. On her watch, crime, homelessness, residential & businesses leaving the city, streets littered with urine & feces. Nobody wants to come to the city out of fear they will be mugged or killed due to Breed’s negligence and dereliction of duty.
