It was a day for unique and fun community building last week, when the Minnehaha Academy girls volleyball team visited Covenant Living of Golden Valley April 4 for a day of chair volleyball.

The Redhawks paired up with residents from Covenant Living for an intergenerational match that helped recognize the team ahead of National Student Athlete Day, which was on April 6. Following the match, the student-athletes were recognized for their efforts on the court and in the classroom while enjoying refreshments and snacks with residents.

Covenant Living is a senior living facility with multiple locations, one being in Golden Valley. The organization’s website notes their focus on catering a positive experience for residents through services and unique opportunities.

“At the heart of our mission is our commitment to providing a fulfilling life of security and confidence for seniors, their families, and our employees. Our services and amenities create more than just communities of people – they’re places residents are proud to call home.”

Minnehaha Academy, located in the Cooper and Hiawatha neighborhoods of Minneapolis, is a ministry of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
