Heat Warnings Issued in Oklahoma and Arkansas, Indexes up to 113 Degrees
Oklahoma City, OK – An excessive heat warning is in effect for parts of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas from noon to 9 PM today. Residents should prepare for dangerously high heat index values up to 113 degrees in affected areas including Tulsa, Muskogee, and Bartlesville. A heat advisory has also been issued for the rest of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas with heat indexes expected to reach up to 109 degrees.

OKLAHOMA CITY — An Oklahoma City woman was arrested after four dogs were found dead inside a home on Monday. At around 9:35 p.m., an Oklahoma City police officer was called to a home near Southeast 16th Street and Byers Avenue for a domestic situation.
