LIV Golf Final Leaderboard At The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship

The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship produced a tight finish at the Old Course, with Tyrrell Hatton and Nicolas Colsaerts battling it out for the majority of the day at St Andrews, with Hatton coming out on top via a birdie at the 72nd hole.

A number of big names were present in Scotland, including Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, as well as 14 LIV Golfers who were in the field for various reasons, such as Ryder Cup qualification and tournament invites.

Amongst those names were five-time Major winner Brooks Koepka, Legion XIII teammates Jon Rahm and Hatton , and upcoming stars in the game like David Puig and Eugenio Chacarra.

As mentioned, 14 players from the circuit were playing and, going into the final round at St Andrews, eight individuals from the LIV Golf League were present for the final 18 holes, with Hatton the top performer, as he led by one stroke at 22-under, following a tie for the course record on Saturday.

Certainly, with the back nine remaining, it seemed that the event was Hatton's to lose, as he led by three. However, a run of double bogey-bogey meant he shared the lead with Colsaerts but, thanks to a birdie at the final hole, Hatton wasn't just the top LIV Golf performer, but the player at the top of the leaderboard, as he secured the $850,000 top prize .

Along with Hatton, Puig finished in a share of fourth spot. The Spaniard started like a train on Sunday, birdieing seven of the first nine holes, but Puig would rue a poor three-over-par back nine as he dropped to 19-under, five back of his fellow LIV Golfer.

Rounding out the top 10, Rahm fired a three-under final round of 69 to finish in a share of seventh, as the Spaniard made four bogeys in a six holes stretch on the back nine to finish 18-under. As consolation for Rahm, he did finish one stroke clear of Koepka, who produced a 67 to finish 17-under-par and in a tie for 10th.

Four LIV players, therefore, finished inside the top 10, and Dean Burmester was the next-best LIV player, as the South African finished in a seven-way tie for 12th. Burmester was six-under-par in a five-hole stretch on the front nine and, thanks to a five-under 67 on Sunday, he produced another excellent finish on the DP World Tour.

For the remaining LIV Golfers, Peter Uihlein finished in a share of 19th spot at 15-under-par despite a level-par round. Along with Uihlein, Branden Grace also shot level-par to finish 13-under and in a share of 35th spot, with Patrick Reed securing a tie for 35th too, as the American rounded out the final spot for the eight LIV players.
