The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship is one of the players favorite competitions of the year, as the Old Course at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns are used for the first three days, before the final day of action returns to the Old Course.
A number of big names are present in Scotland, including Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, as well as 14 LIV Golfers , who are in the field for various reasons, such as Ryder Cup qualification and tournament invites.
As mentioned, 14 players from the circuit are present and, going into the final round at St Andrews, it's Tyrrell Hatton who is in a great position to claim a third Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, with the Englishman carding an 11-under 61 on Saturday that included an eagle and nine birdies.
The next LIV Golfers are Puig, Rahm and Peter Uihlein, who all sit at 15-under, seven shots back of Hatton. On Saturday, Puig made a big move as the Spaniard jumped nearly 50 spots up the leaderboard. Playing Kingsbarns, the 22-year-old produced 10 birdies and one bogey for a nine-under 63. Along with Puig, Rahm fired a 65 at the Old Course, whilst Uihlein was five-under at Kingsbarns.
Four LIV players occupy the top 10 then, with Branden Grace sitting in a tie for 15th at 13-under-par. The former Alfred Dunhill Links Championship winner has been playing steady golf, as of late, despite being relegated from the LIV Golf League last month.
One shot behind the South African is five-time Major winner, Brooks Koepka, who shot a three-under 69 at St Andrews to get to 12-under-par. So far, the stand out moment for the American came on Friday, when he produced an eight-under-par round of 64 at Kingsbarns.
Rounding out the LIV players to make the weekend, we have Dean Burmester and Patrick Reed at 11-under-par. At one point, Reed looked like he was going to potentially slip outside the cut line, but two birdies in his final three holes meant he would be around on Sunday.
In regards to those who missed the cut, Talor Gooch finished eight-under and one stroke outside the nine-under target. It was a similar story for Caleb Surratt who, despite firing an eight-under 64 on Saturday, couldn't worm his way into the final day.
The final LIV players were Eugenio Chacarra (-4), Matt Jones (-3), Louis Oosthuizen (-1) and Hudson Swafford (+5), meaning that six of the 14 aren't going to feature at the Old Course on Sunday.
