DaVante Williams, an Uber Driver in Virginia, thought that the day would be like any other day when he picked up his Uber passenger to drive her 150 miles to Williamsburg, Virginia. However, the day turned out to be a bit of a nightmare when tons of drivers were stranded on 1-95 in Virginia for nearly 23hrs.

His passenger, an overwhelmed teenage girl, had already tried to take the train home but the train had derailed and she was stranded. That's when she called an Uber to take her home and ended up stranded once again, this time for hours on the highway.

"She would call her mother or call her father here and there to communicate what was going on," Williams said in the video below. "She was overwhelmed, and I totally understood because all she wanted to do was get home."

At around 7:30 am, after hours of being stranded in the cold on the highway, Williams decided to purchase a hotel room for the teenager so that she could get some sleep and relax. He even offered to drive her the rest of the way once the roads were cleared at no cost to her, however, a family friend ended up picking her up and driving her home.

During this time he also went out of the way to speak to her parents to make sure they knew she was safe and being taken care of. Williams has been thanked for his incredible kindness and even offered a management position at an upscale driving service.

    Thank you, DaVante!

there's always someone out there who just can't accept the fact that people still do acts of kindness. always gotta speculate that there's a wrong gesture or something that took place. well too bad for u cuz this story is great. that driver did great!

This is the real America. This is how we take care of each other. We do well without government stepping in.
