Rovegno '24 and Coleman Earn Major Awards in VaSID Women's Lacrosse All-State Selections
LEXINGTON, Va. – Washington and Lee University received nine honors from the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) for the 2023-24 College Division All-State women's lacrosse teams. Eugenie Rovegno '24 was named Defensive Player of the Year for the third consecutive year, and Head Coach Maddie Coleman earned Coach of the Year honors for the second straight season.

A sentencing hearing concerning an animal cruelty trial spanning some two years culminated in a guilty plea in Carroll County District Court on July 16. Christopher Donithan’s guilty plea was accepted by the Honorable Judge Brett Geisler. Lynchburg Humane Society speaks about dogs rescued from “deplorable” conditions at Lynchburg home
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Lynchburg animal control found 15 dogs in “deplorable” and “appalling” conditions at a home on Shaffer Street. On July 22, their owner was charged in Lynchburg General District Court for five counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty and the dogs plus one parrot were handed over to the Lynchburg Humane Society.
