Triple A Mid-Atlantic says gas prices in Virginia area down three cents in the last week, up ten cents in a month and about four cents cheaper than on this day last year. Fredericksburg gas prices are down two cents since last week.

Residents on Lake Vista frustrated after gas line hit again
LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — Residents on Lake Vista Drive in Forest are upset after a gas leak Tuesday morning kept them sheltered in place for several hours. A fiber-optic contractor hit a three-inch gas line. This is not the first time this has happened there; in fact, it's the second time in that area in the last seven days and neighbors say there have been several other incidents.

Community mourns Jakolbi Taylor; funeral to be held Saturday
ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Roanoke is preparing to say farewell to one of its own as the community gathers for the funeral of 16-year-old Jakolbi Taylor. Jakolbi was shot and killed after a basketball tournament in Myrtle Beach over the weekend. The funeral is scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. and will take place at Patrick Henry High School, where Jakolbi’s passion for basketball flourished.
