Goodhue County plans cannabis moratorium
The Goodhue County Board is considering an emergency moratorium on cannabis dispensaries to give county staff time to write regulations. A public hearing on the proposed moratorium is scheduled for Wednesday, July 3 in Cannon Falls. The moratorium would be in place until Jan. 1, 2025 and would prohibit both new and pending cannabis locations, according to a draft.
Goodhue County woman killed in car/deer collision
GOODHUE COUNTY, Minn. – A car/deer collision in southeast Minnesota has killed one person. It happened around 9:30 pm Friday in Goodhue County. The Minnesota State Patrol says a 2001 Dodge Neon driven by Samantha Diane Johnson, 35 of Kenyon, was westbound on Highway 60 when it hit a deer near the intersection with 162nd Avenue, west of Zumbrota.
Kenyon Woman Killed in Collision With Deer Near Zumbrota
Zumbrota, MN (KROC-AM News) - An encounter last with a deer on a Highway in Goodhue County claimed the life of a Kenyon woman. The State Patrol says the deadly incident was reported at 9:30 PM on Highway 60 about a mile west of Zumbrota. The preliminary crash report indicates 35-year-old Samantha Diane Johnson was driving a Dodge Neon west on Highway 60 when the car made contact with a deer.
