A Cardinals-Rangers trade to bring World Series ace into lacking STL rotation
For the first month and a half of the 2024 season, the St. Louis Cardinals looked like they were headed toward another finish at the bottom of the NL Central. They came back in dramatic fashion to avoid a sweep on Mother's Day, and have gone 34-22 since, ending the first half four games over .500 and finding themselves right in the thick of the postseason race.

The Los Angeles Chargers or Kansas City Chiefs may trade for Pro Bowler, Alvin Kamara without a new deal entering this upcoming season. According to a report, there has been no progress in extension talks between the Saints and Kamara as his future with the team remains uncertain. This comes after the running back walked out of the final minicamp for the team, which is a sign that he’s unhappy with his current contract situation. Training camp is around the corner and his negotiations will be a storyline to follow as the two will see what they do.

Chiefs two-time Super Bowl champ a potential release candidate?
As the Chiefs navigated their post-Tyreek Hill offense, the front office sought reinforcement at the receiver position. One of the team’s most notable WR acquisitions was Kadarius Toney, who the Chiefs acquired from the Giants midway through the 2022 campaign. While Toney has won a pair of Super Bowl rings during his year-plus in Kansas City, the wideout hasn’t lived up to the billing. Now, with only a year remaining on his rookie contract, it’s uncertain if he’ll even reach the 2024 campaign with the Chiefs.

Cardinals reportedly have their eye on pair of ideal rotation reinforcements
The St. Louis Cardinals didn't even get to take the field in what was supposed to be the club's first outing after exiting the All-Star break as their matchup at Truist Park against the Atlanta Braves was postponed on Friday night. That set up a Saturday doubleheader but, while the games remain important in this context, fans are now focused on the trade deadline.
