Man charged after allegedly shooting at Rochester officer during traffic stop
A man accused of shooting at a Rochester police officer during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon is facing numerous felony charges, according to police. The encounter occurred near Smith and Grape streets - roughly a block north of Jay Street - around 3:10 p.m. An officer with RPD's Traffic Enforcement Unit was sitting inside his marked patrol car, with emergency lights on, when a man fired multiple rounds from a handgun at the officer, said Capt.
