    Irion County's Henderson, Garden City's Talamantes headline the District 11-A honors

    Irion County's Tyler Henderson and Garden City's Julio Talamantes were named Co-Most Valuable Players for District 11-A boys basketball on Monday.

    Henderson helped lead the Hornets to a 25-9 overall record and an outright district championship with a 9-1 record, while on the road to a regional tournament appearance.

    Talamantes was a key piece to the Bearkats' run to a regional quarterfinal run with a 25-10 overall record and a second-place district finish with a 7-2 record.

    MVP - Tyler Henderson, sr., Irion County; Julio Talamantes, sr., Garden City.

    Offensive Player of the Year - Wyatt Morris, sr., Irion County.

    Defensive Player of the Year - Brenner Sherwood, soph., Robert Lee.

    Newcomer of the Year - Presley Jost, soph., Garden City.

    Sixth Man of the Year - Daniel Crutchfield, jr., Irion County.

    First Team - Jayton Galvan, sr., Bronte; Max Garcia, soph., Robert Lee; Brayden Sherwood, sr., Robert Lee; Grady Jackson, jr., Irion County; Major Conner, sr., Irion County; Hunter Hallmark, sr., Veribest; Luke Williams, sr., Veribest; Bryce Martin, soph., Veribest; Skyler Garcia, sr., Garden City; Jarett Fryar, sr., Garden City.
