    Shannon to host Walk to Remember honoring pregnancy, infant loss

    Shannon's White Rose Support Group is hosting its annual Walk to Remember honoring parents and families affected by pregnancy and infant loss.

    The walk will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Participants will begin the walk at the large pine tree at San Angelo City Park, 315 Twohig Ave. The walk will conclude with a remembrance ceremony at the White Rose Garden at Shannon Women’s and Children’s Hospital at 201 E Harris Ave.

    October is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

    "The White Rose Support Group provides healing, support and fellowship to parents and families who have experienced miscarriage, stillbirth or newborn death," according to a release from Shannon. "The ‘Walk to Remember’ is open to parents, siblings, friends and others who have been affected by pregnancy and infant loss."
