Harrington on CSC Academic All-American Third Team
Outgoing Southern Arkansas senior golfer Connor Harrington has been named to the College Sports Communicators Men's At-Large Academic All-American Third Team. Harrington adds to his already stocked up resume from 2023-24 as the Magnolia native has been named a GAC Distinguished Scholar Athlete, the Murphy USA Male Scholar Athlete of the Year award recipient (Seventh Annual Mulespys), and now an Academic All-American.

PEA RIDGE, Ark. — After over three years of waiting, retired sergeant Andrew Butterworth and his family were finally able to move into their brand-new home in Pea Ridge. "To finally be here and to finally be in the home. It's, I mean, amazing. This is going to do so much for us to be able to move and get around and give the kids room to run and play and just it'll all set in. I'm sorry, in a few more days, but it's just kind of overwhelming right now," Butterworth said.
Emma Kate McBride named NJCAA Academic All-American
Emma Kate McBride has been chosen as a National Junior College Athletic Association (NCJAA) Academic All-American. The 2023 Weston High School graduate, who now plays for South Arkansas Community College in Eldorado, AR, earned second team Academic All-American status after compiling a 3.90 grade point average during her freshman year.

Landon Jackson set to anchor Arkansas’ defense
FAYETTEVILLE — Defensive end Landon Jackson opted to return to Arkansas for this season instead of entering the 2024 NFL Draft. Jackson, who was Arkansas’ lone player named to the All-SEC teams released Friday. In 2023, Jackson finished with 44 tackles, including 22 solo, 13.5 for loss, 6.5 sacks, one pass breakup and two quarterback hurries. In a 24-21 loss to Alabama, Jackson had 11 tackles, including seven solo, 3.5 for loss and 3.5 sacks.
