    St. Lawrence Co. woman facing drug and weapon charges after traffic stop

    GOUVERNEUR, N.Y. (WWTI) – A 38-year-old Gouverneur woman is facing drug and weapons charges after a Thursday night traffic stop on U.S. Route 11 in the town of Gouverneur.

    According to the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, Liana Meilleur was allegedly in possession of around 300 packets of fentanyl, 26 assorted pills, a gram of meth and a switchblade knife.

    Meilleur was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and a pair of counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

    She was arraigned in the Gouverneur Town Court and released.

    Sheriff’s deputies also charged the driver, 34-year-old Chauncey Pray of Gouverneur, with driving without a license and failure to keep right. Pray was turned over to the Ogdensburg City Police Department for a burglary charge.
