Northumberland Police Initiate Blue Envelope Program for those on Autism Spectrum
The Northumberland Police Department has initiated a blue envelope program where drivers on the autism spectrum can place their vehicle registration, insurance card, driver’s license, and emergency contact information. The envelope has instructions on the front side for the operator and instructions on the back for the officer to enhance communications during the traffic encounter.

New restaurant construction makes progress
Buckhorn, Pa. — Although it appears construction on the new Chipotle restaurant building and parking lot outside Bloomsburg are nearing completion, a restaurant spokesman says the new location likely won't open until the fall. The Mexican grill fast-food restaurant, 10 Wedgetown Road in Buckhorn, has been under construction for months. Chipotle spokesman Annie Gradinger says the location will feature the restaurant's signature "Chipotlane," a drive-through pick-up lane that allows customers to pick up digital orders without leaving their cars. Chipotle's website has posted several jobs for the Buckhorn location, including kitchen leader and service leader, as well as crew members.
