Hello, Northsiders! I’m eager to share with you some of the important work I’ve been doing in Harrisburg. The biggest and most important success is that my affirmative vote helped pass the 2024-25 fiscal year budget, which Gov. Josh Shapiro recently signed into law. An essential part of the plan is a $1.3 billion investment in our public schools, which includes an $8.5 million increase in education funding for Pittsburgh Public Schools. These monies represent a 5% increase compared to the previous year’s budget allocation.

Wrong-way crash on Route 33 kills driver, seriously injures others
A wrong-way crash killed a driver and injured a second driver Sunday night on Route 33 in Hamilton Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania State Police said.
