EAC selects builder for new cosmetology building
The Graham County Community College District Governing Board has selected a contractor for the new building to house Eastern Arizona College's cosmetology program. Frisco, Texas-based CORE Construction will oversee the project, to be located near the southeast corner of College Avenue and Highway 70 in Thatcher. The new building, spanning 19,300 square feet, will include a 12,000-square-foot cosmetology center and 7,300 square feet of medical space. EAC said the estimated cost is $12 million, funded by reserves that are not subject to expenditure limits. Construction is set to begin in mid-August and is expected to be completed by January 2026.
