After being indicted in May 2023, Jose Luis Alamilla-Quevedo accepted a plea deal at the end of April for five years in prison from a March 2023 offense of indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Alamilla-Quevedo, 41, accepted the plea Wednesday, April 24 and was sentenced to five years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice - Institutional Division and a $5,000 fine. He received 410 days credit for time served while confined at the Young County Jail and will be required to register as a sex offender.

Alamilla-Quevedo was arrested March 12, 2023 in Graham for the offense. The indictment states Alamilla-Quevedo did with intent engage in sexual contact with the victim who was under 17 years of age.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Graham Police Department was dispatched to a residence for the report of an assault. The victim informed the officers that they had given Alamilla-Quevedo a ride to their current location.

The victim said a witness was driving with the suspect in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Upon arriving at the location, Alamilla-Quevedo and the victim both exited the vehicle and the victim went to get into the front passenger seat.

The victim alleges in the probable cause affidavit that Alamilla-Quevedo groped their “bottom” and placed his hand inside the front pocket of the victim’s shirt and pressed against their stomach.

The victim said they pushed their elbow into Alamilla-Quevedo to move his hand and informed the suspect that the contact was unwanted. Alamilla-Quevedo then allegedly made additional sexual contact with the victim.

Officers spoke with Alamilla-Quevedo who denied contact was made with the victim. The witness in the vehicle said they did not see the act, but did observe the victim move away from Alamilla-Quevedo in the same manner described by the victim.

Alamilla-Quevedo was taken into custody and booked March 12, 2023 into the Young County Jail on a bond of $50,000, where he remains until he is transferred to a TDCJ facility.
