    The Texas Education Agency released the spring 2024 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness results last week with individual, district and campus level performance.

    Using a unique access code, parents or guardians can view their child’s individual results as well as their academic progress and answers to each question, by visiting texasassessment.gov.

    Results include assessments in mathematics and reading language arts (RLA) in grades three through eight, fifth and eighth grade science and eighth grade social studies.

    STAAR exams are graded on four performance levels which from highest to lowest are Masters Grade Level, Meets Grade Level, Approaches Grade Level and Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    Graham ISD

    Mathematics

    In third grade mathematics, of the 149 students tested, 20 students (13%) were in Masters Grade Level, 35 students (23%) were in Meets Grade Level, 34 students (23%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 60 students (40%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In third grade Spanish mathematics, of the five students tested, zero students were in the Masters and Meets Grade Levels, two students (40%) were in Approaches Grade Level and three students (60%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In fourth grade mathematics, of the 140 students tested, 13 students (9%) were in Masters Grade Level, 29 students (21%) were in Meets Grade Level, 42 students (30%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 56 students (40%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In fourth grade Spanish mathematics, of the five students tested, zero students were in Masters, Meets and Approaches Grade Levels and five students (100%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In fifth grade mathematics, of the 135 students tested, 32 students (24%) were in Masters Grade Level, 48 students (36%) were in Meets Grade Level, 28 students (21%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 27 students (20%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In sixth grade mathematics, of the 161 students tested, 22 students (14%) were in Masters Grade Level, 46 students (29%) were in Meets Grade Level, 61 students (38%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 32 students (20%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In seventh grade mathematics, of the 156 students tested, 10 students (6%) were in Masters Grade Level, 41 students (26%) were in Meets Grade Level, 46 students (29%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 59 students (38%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In eighth grade mathematics, of the 142 students tested, 17 students (12%) were in Masters Grade Level, 50 students (35%) were in Meets Grade Level, 45 students (32%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 30 students (21%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    Reading

    In third grade reading, of the 150 students tested, 34 students (23%) were in Masters Grade Level, 24 students (16%) were in Meets Grade Level, 49 students (33%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 43 students (29%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In third grade Spanish reading, of the five students tested, zero students were in the Masters and Meets Grade Levels, three students (60%) were in Approaches Grade Level and two students (40%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In fourth grade reading, of the 142 students tested, 13 students (9%) were in Masters Grade Level, 39 students (27%) were in Meets Grade Level, 53 students (37%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 37 students (26%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In fourth grade Spanish reading, of the five students tested, zero students were in the Masters and Meets Grade Levels, one student (20%) was in Approaches Grade Level and four students (80%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In fifth grade reading, of the 139 students tested, 45 students (32%) were in Masters Grade Level, 36 students (26%) were in Meets Grade Level, 36 students (26%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 22 students (16%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In sixth grade reading, of the 159 students tested, 39 students (25%) were in Masters Grade Level, 57 students (36%) were in Meets Grade Level, 29 students (18%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 34 students (21%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In seventh grade reading, of the 156 students tested, 21 students (13%) were in Masters Grade Level, 41 students (26%) were in Meets Grade Level, 42 students (27%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 52 students (33%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In eighth grade reading, of the 165 students tested, 39 students (24%) were in Masters Grade Level, 36 students (22%) were in Meets Grade Level, 52 students (32%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 38 students (23%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    Science

    In fifth grade science, of the 139 students tested, 10 students (7%) were in Masters Grade Level, 26 students (19%) were in Meets Grade Level, 45 students (32%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 58 students (42%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In eighth grade science, of the 166 students tested, 16 students (10%) were in Masters Grade Level, 47 students (28%) were in Meets Grade Level, 53 students (32%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 50 students (30%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    Social Studies

    In eighth grade social studies, of the 166 students tested, 32 students (19%) were in Masters Grade Level, 21 students (13%) were in Meets Grade Level, 49 students (30%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 64 students (39%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    Newcastle ISD

    Mathematics

    In third grade mathematics, of the 20 students tested, one student (5%) was in Masters Grade Level, four students (20%) were in Meets Grade Level, nine students (45%) were in Approaches Grade Level and six students (30%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In fourth grade mathematics, of the 11 students tested, zero students were in Masters Grade Level, four students (36%) were in Meets Grade Level, five students (45%) were in Approaches Grade Level and two students (18%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In fifth grade mathematics, of the 14 students tested, one student (7%) was in Masters Grade Level, two students (14%) were in Meets Grade Level, seven students (50%) were in Approaches Grade Level and four students (29%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In sixth grade mathematics, of the 15 students tested, two students (13%) were in Masters Grade Level, six students (40%) were in Meets Grade Level, five students (33%) were in Approaches Grade Level and two students (13%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In seventh grade mathematics, of the 15 students tested, four students (27%) were in Masters Grade Level, seven students (47%) were in Meets Grade Level, three students (20%) were in Approaches Grade Level and one student (7%) was in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In eighth grade mathematics, of the 15 students tested, two students (13%) were in Masters Grade Level, seven students (47%) were in Meets Grade Level, four students (27%) were in Approaches Grade Level and two students (13%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    Reading

    In third grade reading, of the 20 students tested, zero students were in Masters Grade Level, three students (15%) were in Meets Grade Level, 10 students (50%) were in Approaches Grade Level and seven students (35%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In fourth grade reading, of the 11 students tested, zero students were in Masters Grade Level, six students (55%) were in Meets Grade Level, five students (45%) were in Approaches Grade Level and zero students were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In fifth grade reading, of the 14 students tested, four students (29%) were in Masters Grade Level, four students (29%) were in Meets Grade Level, four students (29%) were in Approaches Grade Level and two students (14%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In sixth grade reading, of the 15 students tested, three students (20%) were in Masters Grade Level, five students (33%) were in Meets Grade Level, four students (27%) were in Approaches Grade Level and three students (20%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In seventh grade reading, of the 15 students tested, six students (40%) were in Masters Grade Level, five students (33%) were in Meets Grade Level, three students (20%) were in Approaches Grade Level and one student (7%) was in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In eighth grade reading, of the 17 students tested, four students (24%) were in Masters Grade Level, six students (35%) were in Meets Grade Level, four students (24%) were in Approaches Grade Level and three students (18%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    Science

    In fifth grade science, of the 14 students tested, two students (14%) were in Masters Grade Level, three students (21%) were in Meets Grade Level, three students (21%) were in Approaches Grade Level and six students (43%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    In eighth grade science, of the 17 students tested, one student (6%) was in Masters Grade Level, three students (18%) were in Meets Grade Level, six students (35%) were in Approaches Grade Level and seven students (41%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.

    Social Studies

    In eighth grade social studies, of the 17 students tested, two students (12%) were in Masters Grade Level, one student (6%) was in Meets Grade Level, three students (18%) were in Approaches Grade Level and 11 students (65%) were in Did Not Meet Grade Level.
