1 dead, 2 injured in traffic collision on Highway 97
DOUGLAS COUNTY — A traffic collision on Highway 97 on Saturday left one dead and two injured. The Washington State Patrol says that at roughly 4:39 p.m., a southbound 2006 Toyota Tacoma towing a boat crossed the center line of the highway and struck a 2014 Subaru Forester. The truck became fully engulfed with flames upon impact before both vehicles came to a rest partially blocking the northbound lane. Both vehicles were totaled.
WA Supreme Court lets high-capacity ammo ban stand for now
Washington’s ban on high-capacity magazines for semi-automatic weapons will stay in effect, at least for now, the Washington Supreme Court ruled on Monday. The Supreme Court decided the ban would remain in effect until it can hear arguments on the case in the state’s appeal of the lower court ruling. That hearing could potentially happen this fall.

Kent Police seek public’s help to find woman missing since 2009
Kent Police released a sketch of what Alyssa McLemore might look like now in an effort to find the Kent woman missing since 2009. McLemore was 21 when she disappeared over 15 years ago on April 9, 2009. She was 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 130 pounds at the time she disappeared. Her hair is naturally black but she was known to sometimes bleach her hair, according to Kent Police. She had a 3-year-old child when she disappeared.

The NHRA Northwest Nationals comes to Pacific Raceways in Kent starting this Friday. DeJoria is eighth in the Funny Car division standings. She was also ranked the fourth-richest female athlete earlier this year.
Federal Way woman accused of driving high in fatal crash
A driver who was allegedly high on marijuana behind the wheel has been accused of causing the death of one man and seriously injuring multiple others. Wendy Cisneros, 22, whose last known address was in Federal Way, has been charged with vehicular homicide, three counts of vehicular assault, and reckless driving following a fatal collision June 21 in SeaTac.
Teens in car intentionally strike boy riding bike in Bellevue
BELLEVUE, Wash. - Police are investigating after a car 'deliberately' struck a boy on a bicycle in Bellevue Saturday night. The Bellevue Police Department (BPD) confirmed with FOX 13 that at around 8:22 p.m., a car full of juveniles intentionally crashed into the 13-year-old victim. Authorities say the incident happened on Lake Washington Blvd. NE near Clyde Beach Park.
New signs at Don Armeni Boat Ramp

He says these signs were installed Friday or early Saturday at Don Armeni Boat Ramp, which has become more of a hotspot for trouble from stunt driving all the way to murder (two unsolved shooting deaths at or near the park in 13 months).
Cranton selected by Seattle in third round of MLB Draft; Shojinaga goes to Phillies
Former Kansas pitcher Hunter Cranton and current KU infielder Kodey Shojinaga were picked in the MLB Draft on Monday, becoming the first Jayhawks selected in five years. “I’m really proud of Hunter and Kodey,” KU coach Dan Fitzgerald said in a press release. “Both guys are incredible workers, self starting, and ultra competitive. Their impact on KU Baseball will be felt for a long time.”
