Kansas City, MO – Western Missouri is preparing for potential flooding as thunderstorms are expected to hit the area late Saturday through Monday. Royals call up pitcher Walter Pennington
Adam Frazier also returns. The Royals have promoted pitcher Walter Pennington from Triple-A Omaha and have activated Adam Frazier from the Injured List. To make room on the roster, Carlos Hernández and C.J. Alexander were optioned to Omaha. The Royals made room on the 40-man roster for Pennington by transferring pitcher Dan Altavilla to the 60-day Injured List for his oblique injury. Pennington hails from Broomfield, Colorado, about 30 minutes north of Denver, where the Royals play tonight. He attended the Colorado School of Mines and signed with the Royals as an undrafted free agent. This year, at the age...

Kansas City Chiefs Once Again Encouraged to Sign 5x All-Pro to Help Patrick Mahomes
The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to do something that has never been done before in the history of the NFL: win a third consecutive Super Bowl. They have won each of the previous two Super Bowls despite the fact that they do not really have a typical number one wide receiver on their roster. While Rashee Rice showed promise as a rookie, they will likely be without him for a good portion of their season once the NFL hands down its suspension to him for his multiple legal issues from the offseason.

Chiefs WR Xavier Worthy Will Be a Bust
Many football fans were left shocked and scratching their heads when the Buffalo Bills traded down in the first round of the NFL Draft, with their rival the Chiefs of all teams. Chiefs fans rejoiced when this trade went down as the team was finally able to use first round draft capital on an elite receiving talent, and with Xavier Worthy’s record breaking 4.21 second 40-yard dash at the Draft Combine, on paper it seemed like a match made in heaven. Fans are hoping that Worthy will finally be the worthy successor to Tyreek Hill. After a handful of draft busts and arrests that promising receiver Rashee Rice has faced this offseason, Worthy has a prime opportunity to run away with the number one receiving role in Kansas City. However, I personally think that Xavier Worthy is not going to be the answer for the Chiefs receiving woes, and that he will be the next in line of first round receiving draft busts.

Saturday, July 6: Great weekend weather, keeping humidity away
I think Mother Nature is trying to apologize for the soggy ending on the 4th by bringing lovely weather for the 5th, 6th, and 7th. Thankfully, the hot and humid conditions will be staying away. Temperatures today will be warmer than what we got yesterday, but still not too bad. Expect highs to climb to […]
