FIRST WARN WEATHER DAY: Excessive heat day 2 as dangerous temperatures blanket the metro
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - With a ridge of warm air from the southwest and low pressure and front lingering to the north and west of the Missouri River Valley, we continue with warm air and moisture. This provides conditions for the area today through Thursday which coincides with our excessive heat warning. Temperatures this morning are only expected to dip into the mid-70s before sunrise with near middle 90s expected by lunchtime noon. As we move to the late afternoon high temperatures will range between 93° and 98° across the viewing area. Feel-like temperatures are expected to range between 107° and 114°.
