Suspected Bean Station Double Homicide Culprit Aaron Ethan White Arrested in Morristown
After weeks of investigation and search efforts, Aaron Ethan White, the man accused in a double homicide that occurred in Bean Station, Grainger County, has been apprehended. U.S. Marshal David Jolley confirmed that White was found and taken into custody at his home in Morristown, as reported by WVLT. White, 34, had been on the run since May and was facing two counts of criminal homicide for the deaths of Jon Atkins, 49, and Deven McDaniel, 32.
Charging Documents Provide More Information in Grainger County Double Homicide
Bean Station, TN (WOKI) New details now emerging following the arrest of a Morristown man Wednesday, accused of murdering two men in the Bean Station community. According to investigators, 34-year-old Aaron White killed 49-year-old Jon Atkins and 32-year-old Deven McDaniel, whose bodies were discovered along Rocky Springs Road in Bean Station on May 25.
25 mph speed limit set on Spence Road in Rutledge
RUTLEDGE – Grainger County resident Debbie Young addressed the Grainger County Commission Monday, July 8 to ask that a speed limit be instated for Spence Road in Rutledge. Young said she lives on Spence road and walks the road, which is short and narrow. She said the road is 1.44 miles long, and is only eight feet wide in places with ditches on either side in some places and fences and debris in others.

BEAN STATION – The Precious Paws Wellness Clinic (PPWC) is open for business in Bean Station. The clinic was opened by the Grainger County Humane Society (GCHS) with an ultimate goal of reducing cat colonies and taking care of unwanted puppies.

The inaugural Fourth of July Parade and Block Party took place Thursday, July 4 in Rutledge. The parade was sponsored by Grainger County Chamber of Commerce, Grainger County Parks and Recreation, Grainger County Historic Society, Clinch Powell RC&D, Edde Chevrolet, Thorn Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Grainger County Tourism and East Tennessee Portables.
